I really don't understand what's the hype all about ...
So what the Singapore team won the ASEAN championship? Why are they regarded and throned as national heroes...for goodness's sake, it's just an ASEAN league...I'm sure we all know how many countries took part in the mini tournament...so what if we have won more than 3 times... I think Singapore team should not even attempt to take part...why? Looking at the teams, all players are natives of their country...THEIR OWN people took part in the team...what about Singapore?
Our Singapore Coach is Radojko Avramovic from Serbia Montenegero. The team also consists of notable foreign players like Daniel Bennett from England, Precious Emuejeraye, Itimi Dickson from Nigeria, Shi Jiayi from China and Mustafic Fahrudin from Serbia.That makes nearly 1/3 of our team already. So what we got a penalty and Thailand made a big hoo-ha over it...so what Khairul Amri scored in the last minutes of the game... so what Noh Alam Shah was named the tournament's most valuable player and walked off with the Golden Boot Award for bagging 10 goals, 7 of which came against Laos? I truly think we are not being fair here... if a country is rich, the country will buy all the excellent players and go on to win every tournament on planet Earth. I despair for the poorer countries who depend solely on the capabilities and talents of their OWN people to bring glory to their home. I think FIFA should look into this matter.
Then just this afternoon, I nearly puked when I heard about a celebration to be held for the team at Vivocity...come on lah...it's just a small teeny weeny league...no need to be so cocky ...not as if it's the World cup...
it was pure luck...*shrugs*
since we are in the romantic mood...we also have the lovebirds...Ronald Susilo and Li Jiawei...
