I was so eager to move out...now my excitement fizzes out! Tuesday, June 20, 2006after the PETERPAN concert...*sighs* I AM IN LOVE with ALL OF THEM! by the way did I mention...Ariel and Andika are one of the most gorgeous Malay Archipelago guys around besides my husband? first the vidz... then I shall rant some more... I did not manage to vid them coz my cam is in one of the boxes..and my MOTOROLA PINK RAZR sux! The vidz above are all courtesy of YOUTUBE...sie sie for the memories captured! Saturday, June 17, 2006but this is for real... ![]() 8 MORE DAYS!!! Before I start, I must make a statement...I LOVE SANS BOOKSHOP! Why? I can find practically any books that I want! In our library, the titles are there but come on, how many of you get to borrow recently released books? There is a long queue ahead of me and by the time I get the books, my interest just wanes off...*sighs*
Currently, I am reading a book on a young woman's experiences during the China's Cultural Revolution. She was born in China into a well-educated family. Her father was condemned as an enemy of the Communist Party. She struggled to continue her education and she was sent to the Gobi desert for ten years of terrible hardship and misery. However, she managed to teach herself English and eventually escaped from the desert to become a teacher. She had a brief unsuccessful marriage to a childhood sweetheart; and a scandalous and ultimately damaging love affair with a much younger man. It made me think...I remebered Oprah when she says we attract people of our own character.. Her story is quite remarkable , I would say...but... She’s a self-proclaimed beauty...come on ...she claims everyone says she’s a beauty...in nearly every chapter...there will be one idiot who says she is damn gorgeous...looking at the pics...I say WHAT? Are they blinded by the harsh terrain of Gobi Desert or what? Call me jealous or what...but a beautiful lady never says she is gorgeous just like Julie Estelle...I think she’s the most gorgeous Indonesian hmmm...worldly creature besides Tamara... Actually I can’t wait to finish up the book not because it’s fascinating...but I am jijik by the thoughts of a self-proclaimed beauty. Let’s just say this...I think the book is wonderful with the history and atrocities of the revolution but narcissism ...no no..it’s too much for me to handle! Next book...Meena..Heroine of Afghanistan! Sunday, June 11, 20061st - was thinking of going to the airport to see Peterpan arrive in Spore but nah...nvm...then I got to know from Wati that Peterpan is going to have a lunch session with fans...then I got to know it's at Lawry's! Lawry's??? What were they thinking? It's not because Lawry's charges exorbitantly but...a non-halal one? I wonder...did I get the right info? Well this week will be kinda hectic for us...with Bak's operation on the way and my close cousin's wedding...and then the Peterpan concert...I don't think I can have it all... 2nd - this hols, I told myself I am gonna catch up on my reading..I gave a target of two books...but I read 4! well not actually four..I borrowed two books on romance and two biographies...when I was younger, romance was in and Ithrew myself in the whirlwind of love quite easily...but recently, I am more of a serious person or maybe I've aged...I didn't finish reading the books on romance...I gave up halfway and found the books a yawn but ... the two biographies....Geisha of Gion and Mayada...were really fascinating....I finished the two books in three days...it was hard to put down the two books...Geisha of Gion was as fascinating as Memoirs of a Geisha...but more factual and realistic...well what about Mayada...at first I found the book very captivating...the atrocities of Saddam Hussein and his comrades...I pitied the people of Iraq under his rule...I discussed the book with my husband and told him about the torturous life of Iraqis...he mentioned that I should not put my trust in the story as sometimes it's exaggeration...true enough...after finishing 3/4 of the book, it became so unbelievable...the tortures and the stories became too hard to digest...if what happens to Mayada and the shadow women were true...I think the Iraqi govt must be damn cruel! 3rd - the world cup, what else! it's funny to watch Singaporeans rush home to watch the England game against Paraguay...hahaha..why the England game? Are we still under colonial rule? It was a hilarious moment for me when it was parking time...all the lots were taken up! It was a first time for us since staying here...the Jolly Garden coffeeshop was buzzing with people from all walks of life...the Bangladeshi workers, the Thai workers, the apeks, the minahs, the mats and other theS! People, England won the game because of the own goal! Hahaha..I hope the English will be kicked out soon! I think I will root for the underdog...Costa Rica??? *grins* Saturday, June 10, 2006Alexandria... an OST by Peterpan...I bought the VCD as I wanted to know what the hype was all about. To tell the truth, it was a normal boring movie...boy meets girl, falls in love, went away, came back and girl has fallen in love with best friend and at last friend gets girl, boy finds a new girl. Nothing special from the story line....BUT the actors and actress are super gorgeous...Alexandria(Julie Estelle), Bragas(Marcell Chandrawinata) and Rafi(Fachry Albar) and also...of course the songs...I am currently into this song... Wednesday, June 07, 2006 ok i admit I am really a freak!I AM IN LOVE WITH PETERPAN! I have a shrine dedicated to Peterpan...it's under construction though! Its mypeterpan.tripod.com. Why oh why? Truthfully, I did not even flinch when I first heard them...But the moment I saw APM, and I saw Ariel...I became dizzy...I admit I HAD, I repeat, I HAD a huge humongous schoolgirl crush on Ariel before I became crazy for Peterpan...Wait! Come to think of it...was it Ariel or just the song, Mungkin Nanti? Some might think I am insane...I have a husband...but like what my Papa said a week ago when my brother laughed at me for being in love with Peterpan particularly Ariel, "Love has different degrees of separation...Love for family can never be equated with love for your partner, Papa knows her love for Ariel or Peterpan is just another singer/infatuation thing!" That's my Papa! Actually kan...Ariel is not so cute...after watching the many videos (to warm up for the concert) of the band. I realised I love their music! Ariel NOT! PETERPAN YES!
I can't wait for the concert...I think I'm going to the airport on the 14th...let's see whether my bro will accompany me? ok back to the VCDs, I need to memorise all the lyrics! Who knows, I might be asked to make a special appearance on stage? MUAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA! ![]() This is a story about a boy, Azfaridzuan to be exact. Well, to start off the first time we got acquainted was when he was in P3 in 2003. I was his MT teacher then. He wasn't the perfect 'kuai-kuai'boy. As usual unlike the perfect nice boys, he irritates me and didn't complete his work on time, all the time. I expected him to be like some students who will pass my teaching career without leaving an indent. Well, I was wrong! In fact, he left a deep imprint in my career as a teacher this year.I remember a few months ago, when Hazim gave me a Mamee in the morning. He said it was for my breakfast , a nice gesture right? Being me, breakfast is a savoury affair. So I made a remark in jest that the next time, maybe he could bring me epok-epok. Never did it cross my mind that anyone would overhear that conversation. Guess what, Azfaridzuan bought me a packet of epok-epok and proceeded to buy me epok-epok from then on. I was actually very surprised that a boy like Azfaridzuan would do that. Even a cikgu said, "Wah, bestnya! Selama ini, tak pernah pun ada murid nak belikan saya makanan!" And the story didn't end there. Whenever, I let my dikir boys go for breaks, he will buy me a drink. Such a nice boy right? Everytime, I wanted to pay him, he never fails to say, "Tak apalah cikgu, untuk cikgu!" I am touched! But I paid him nevertheless! He is not in my ML class but everytime after his ML class, he will go to my class and join my ML class for recess. Eventhough, I am in a bad mood, he will greet me and teases me till I can't bear to stay angry! The story continues...since I've shifted to this Blk 175, and the kids know where I live, Azfaridzuan will often accompany me home to my doorstep! Nice right? Eventhough sometimes, his friends stay on in school or goes for a soccer game, he will accompany me home and join his friends later! *sighs* My boy! Yesterday, something happened again and I couldn't help but to share the story with my darling...Azfar asked me whether I want to borrow his Peterpan CD that he just bought. I told him I have a collection of all of Peterpan's CDs. His friends laughed at him. Later, I got to know that he bought the CD because he knew I am in love with Peterpan! How can one not be touched? That's my Azfaridzuan! Thank u, dear. Cikgu appreciate your thoughtfulness very, very(x1000000) much! Tuesday, June 06, 2006I was thinking of watching ABC DJ but..somehow the thought of Ezann Lee irks me. Why you may ask? Well, undoubtedly, she has one of the best looking sister around(Ericia Lee), but somehow I think her grey cells cast a great deal of doubt...hahaha...it reminded me of a New Paper article I read on 6 May 2006... read on... http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/printfriendly/0,4139,106060,00.html Now you know why I decided to skip the show...
Isn't it ironic when you go to school in SG and you're a celebrity but yet simple questions like this on our own country remains a mystery...hahaha I quote William Shakespeare, "Lord, what fools these mortals be!" Enuff said! Friday, June 02, 2006![]() woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOK!
